CloudAround - Stream music from any cloud service
We have recently released our new music streaming app known as CloudAround. You can currently stream your music from any of your Amazon S3, Rackspace CloudFiles, or Dropbox accounts. You can have as many accounts as you like and best of all...its free! There are ads on the music player screen so if you would like to remove them and help us out you can purchase the app for $1.99.
Here are some of the features:
- No account setup required
- Integrated local storage media with your music from the cloud
- Caching for quicker playback
- Music downloading from the cloud straight to your phone
- Full album cover support
- Automatic song recognition. No searching through filenames!
- Gapless playback
- Seamless integration of multiple clouds in one interface
- Add as many cloud accounts as you would like.
- Full SSL support to protect your secure data
Let us know what you think. We're looking for any sort of feedback. See more at cloudaround.com or download the free version here:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cloudaround
or the paid version here:

Thanks!

The following is my own personal opinion. I am sure that many will not agree with it.
"I dislike self-promoting/self-important bumps!"
I am sure a firestorm will develop now!
Just so everyone understands, I like the original post and I am trying out "CloudAround Lite"

You are 100% incorrect in your assumption. This post was accidentally deleted by me last night. I undeleted it and bumped it so it got the same attention every new post gets. I have absolutely nothing to do with this app.

Shadez - Thanks for the clarification!
Bob - Thanks for trying out CloudAround. Let us know what you think whether the feedback is good or bad

The CloudAround app installed properly. CloudAround searched my SD Card and ext-SD card and seems to have listed all songs. These are listed by song title, singer, and title. I was unable to 'search' the music files as there is no search capability.
I have a Dropbox account, so I tested Dropbox. I entered my Dropbox Email and Password an pressed Save. CloudAround went into "Syncing Account Data....." It got as far as 45%, then it stopped. I tried several times and CloudAround would not sync with my Dropbox account.
I did not test Amazon S3 or RackSpace, as I do not subscribe to these.
I would like the service extended to include:- Amazon CloudDrive
- Google Music
- Windows Live SkyDrive
- ZumoDrive
This is based on my experience the morning of October4, 2011.

Thanks Bob! How long did you let it stay at 45%? This step can potentially take a while depending on how large your dropbox account is.
Thanks!

With CloudAround, I tried to connect twice. Both times the sync level jumped first to 25%, then advanced to 45% where it remained for exactly 4 min-2sec and the view switched to the 'song list' and did not complete the sync. I am connected via WiFi. I am using only 803 mb of my 5.75 gb of DropBox storage.
There were no messages from CloudAround.

Thanks for the extra information, Bob. I'll be looking into this a little later tonight to see if I can find the exact cause.

I believe we have (finally) fixed the issue that you were experiencing when you were trying to add your Dropbox account. If you would like, please upgrade CloudAround through the market and let me know if you are still having the same issue. Any feedback would be great.
Thanks!
