No need for an updated kernel. Wiping data/cache should be sufficient.
You may want to check the md5sum of the files you downloaded before flashing to make sure the downloads did not corrupt.
Flashed this ROM last night. It was the most painless installation of a ROM yet, and it is blazing fast. I am coming from Liberty and that wasn't as stable as I would like so I figured I'd try Apex, and boy am I glad I did. I added the blur camera back in and the Google Car Dock (suggestion to use this instead of Blur car dockin release), and all is well! I am hoping I can get the EpicBlue theme ported over to this release when it comes out of Beta
. Great work Fab, and I will be donating some beer money your way!

Meant to ask. Is this using ADW or the stock Gingerblur launcher? I'm really loving the stock launcher.

It uses Launcher2, which is neither of what you are asking about. But, Fab provides a handy script to replace any blur back into Apex. You just need to download the removed apps zip, extract the blue components you want (in this case Blur Launcher), place it in a directory on your SD Card called 'restore'. Then, open up terminal emulator, type 'restoreblur', and type '1'. It will do a batch restore of any blur files you have placed in the 'restore' folder. I haven't tried it yet but Fab has directions in the script that dictate this. Hope this helps!![]()
it says bloat and market apps removed. Does that mean there is no android market?

No it just means that any of the google apps you can install from the market are not included .. such as google maps, gmail, basically any google market apps but yes .. market is definitely included lol.

lol whew. Thanks for the quick reply. I'm still on the fence about switching to apex from liberty gb...

I was in the fence too about switching .. but at this point I couldn't be more happy with switching .. currently I have had zero issues with Apex and it is blazing fast and just awesome right now .. just make a backup of liberty and flash apex .. you can always go back .. it can't hurt

I know that blurless is great, but I really like the blur calendar. I tried adding the missing files back and using the script. Everything added fine except the calendar/calendar widget. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get it back? I also tried adding the calendar apks manually and setting permissions.
I'm currently running Liberty GB. I got there on my Motorola Droid 2 (via Verizon pre-release / rooted / LibertyGB v0.2 / LibertyGB v0.4 path)
Before going to Apex, my question is that I noticed that SIP Calling Support is missing under the Call Settings area in LibertyGB. I'm assuming it's because of my install path using Verizon's Pre-Release of Gingerbread.
For anyone who followed this same path, as it appears there are a few, can you take a look and see if you have Internet Calling supported in Apex?
I don't want to jump over to Apex if I'm going to be in the same boat as I'm in now.
Thanks!
