What would be the best/easiest way to update my Binary?
It's the same one that enables sound from the D2 R2D2 edition. Refer to the OP for instructions and PM me if you need help.
I appreciate the feedback though, I'd feel a little silly posting this stuff if no one was downloading. :)
I've uploaded the TDK boot animation. It's a little long, but ends just like a boot animation should. As soon as the Joker card flies at the viewer, it flashes off and the lockscreen is visible with the desktop fully loaded. dancedroid
I just tested the animation with my old D1 binary and it played in 26 seconds, hardly any slower than with the D2R2D2 binary. It still looks great.
Looks like I have another new Boot Animation. dancedroid
Lol Great work as always. btw is there a clip of the Joker writing "Why So Serious" on the condensation on the glass? I know I've seen a static image but a .gif or something would be sick.
Just an idea. :)
Okay, so I'm reuploading some animations as I figure out what works best. I have more time to experiment now that I can test either bootanimation binary from adb console... :) I should probably go ahead and set up the full virtual machine so I can test without my phone.
I've made quite a few landscape animations now and in the past I had issues that I've sort of stepped around, but I'm still not certain what to watch for.
I can rotate an animation 90 deg. CW and have it scale full screen, but sometimes I get weird results. Maybe it has to do with images that don't scale exactly right. I once had one play squished into a small square in the middle. Today I made one play in the right dimensions, but it was warped like it was character-wrapping the image, resulting in diagonal lines and distortion. Anyhow, I'm done with adding canvas to the images to make them meet a certain dimensions. I'm trying to keep them as small as possible and yet have them scale nicely without introducing imperfections to playback. The result is a smaller animation and faster playback. Scaling seems to work so well that just rotating the standard animation into landscape plays just as fast as the portrait mode.
The point is, bumping to say I've re-uploaded the TDK landscape animation and soon the Marvel FF, "letterbox" version, which BTW, is my favorite one. It looks slick in landscape mode and the widescreen AR. ;)
I'm going to either redo or finish some of my earlier animations when I can, so starting with these landscape animations....
This is my original Marvel flip pages animation. The portrait mode version was always fast/accurate on my phone, even before I enabled sound. The landscape version was a little slow, but this one will/does run much faster.
It's smaller than the original but doesn't appear to lose any quality when scaled up.
This version has 2.5 seconds of extra animation to match the 13s audio clip. Playback was super smooth and synced perfectly with audio.

Any Doctor Who fans on this board?
A Tardis boot logo and the opening titles with music for boot animation would be sweet.
Anyone feel up to the challenge?
