+1 for Helix Launcher; love it... Helix 2 is for rooted Droids.
So if you are non-rooted can you NOT use Helix 2?

It will force close on you most of the time. Just stick with Helix Launcher and you'll be fine. Helix Launcher 2 just offers the 3D app launcher while Helix Launcher does not.

I had huge problems with Helix2 when I first installed it. Through much trial and error, I found it was a widget (battery left small widget) that was causing it to FC constantly. Once I replaced that with the larger widget, I've had maybe one FC in 2 weeks. Check you widgets to see if something isn't playing nice with Helix2.

I used Helix 2... had many forcecloses... so went back to 1 w/ bettercut and metamorph... Have everything set up and love the snappiness of Helix 1... Not sure I want anything new and improved to come out... takes too long to get everything set up how you like it... lol

Are there any other replacements that have the "power strip" at the bottom like home ++? That is the only reason right now that i am keeping it.

Welcome to the forum, Baney27! Helix Launcher lets you put any four icons you want down by the app tray handle. I have the phone, messaging, (handle) then the browser, and the market. Have you tried the power widget that comes stock on the phone?

If I could get Helix1 with fullscreen, it would replace my Helix2. I don't care for the 3D App list. Either way, both are great.
