How are you adding the files to the framework-res.apk file? Steps please, cause to me you will get this if you are unzipping it and adding files. Then rezipping it.
If you like what I do, thanks

So, I pull the framework from the phone. I open the zip file that is in this thread, go into the res folder, open the framework.apk that is in there with WINRAR. I open the framework.apk that I pulled with WINRAR, and drag the files from the theme, into the pulled framework, drawtable-hdpi, and then I push. Here is the error that I am getting:

Just to clear things up here. I would use 7zip to open any .apk. Here are the steps I use to edit the framework

    adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk C:\android\tools

Right click on the framework-res.apk file and open archive. Navigate to /res/drawable-hdpi . Then go to the zip file from this thread and unzip it. In the unzipped file go to where the files are and drag them from that window to the open archived window. Close the archive window and processed to before mentioned steps.

If still getting this error after that. You have too many apps in /system/app and need to purge some things.

ANNNND that didn't work. After this restore, I'll look at the system storage and see what's going on. Is there any way to see what's in there taking up so much space? And what I can remove?

By the way, I figured I'd post this so you know that it doesn't make any sense:

I believe that internal storage is based on the space for apps, not the system partition where the issue lies...

Re: Black and White battery bar?

MY last-ditch advice would be to find a theme that you know will work (probably an update.zip, which I'm fairly certain rom manager downloads to your SD card, though it will likely be named something other than update.zip). Then, replace the files using the exact same method (don't unzip the update.zip, simply copy the files in), but install the theme through clockwork as you would doing it manually instead of using rom manager.

Also, you'll want to be sure that the names of the .pngs that you're placing in the update match the ones you intend to replace. No guarantees on this method either, but it seems like it should work. Lol

Sorry this has been such a hassle.

Alright! Finally. It was clearly Cyanogen hating my guts, because I flashed BB 0.9 and did the push and everything worked perfectly.

Yeah, Pete doesn't load up the system partition nearly as much as others. I just figured you were set on keeping Cyan's features.

    Glad you're pleased!
