    [SKIN] your HTC_IME

    Hey all,

as i presented here for non-rooters, you can install the HTC IME keyboard:
    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...-non-root.html

Now, if you move the HTC_IME to /system/apps you can install some great keyboard themes via metamorph....just watch this daily updated thread:

    [Morphs] HTC_IME High Res v19 skins! Updated Mar-28, new skin! - xda-developers

Have Fun....and make sure you READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS on the linked thread!

I had to rename the apk to HTC_IME.apk before it would work for me. When I installed and moved its to system/app, the name was different by default so MM didn't apply properly.

Mine seems to be all properly done. I'm using Adamz smoked glass v6.0.1

No luck on my side though. The HTC_IME.apk is in the system/app and I apply the theme. Says its applied but the keyboard doesn't change. Oh well.

Edit: Apparently I am a little bit retarded. I had to go to the system keyboard settings and uncheck Android keyboard. Works great =p

You can get the skinned .apk files here: [Themes] HTC_IME High Res v19 pre-themed HTC_IME.apk update.zip style! - xda-developers

They come in update.zip format, but you can also just extract the .apk from the zip file and install it that way as well. Works great!

It actually isn't necessary to disable the default KB. You can press and hold the 123 button to get the option to choose a different input method (the new kb).
