Ok...so i am trying to change my notification ringtone.
The phone will not save the tone I have selected, these are tones that have came with the phone so I am not sure why it is doing this. I tried several times by selecting it again and pressing OK....still NOTHING, HAS THE OLD RING TONE.
I tried everything, rebooting...taking out battery and leaving out for 10 sec and putting it back on...still wont work.
What is your Phone Model ?

and I just noticed, it is using the ringtone I selected when I receive emails but not text messages.
There is a difference in text "notifications" and ringtones, which one are you trying to change
the text notification.
I went to the settings->sound->notification ringtone->then selected which one i wanted->pressed ok...and had a friend send me a text, still had the old one.
Are you using the Stock Mms application or a third party app like Handcent ?
If it is a third party app then check the sound settings from directly within the application
Stock ones...thats why Im so lost at this, i dont understand why it wont save something that came with the phone.
