Help, stuck at red eye loading screen,

Hi, So today i just realized that 2.2 was out, I proceed to download the update and wait for it to reload, but after the download was complete, my phone restarted and when it got to the red eye loading screen, it never got past it, its been like this for awhile now, I don't know what to do, if anyone has a solution I will be very grateful, also i didn't root or mood my droid in anyway, please help me, thank you.

for a non rooted phone i wouldnt know other than wiping it cause im sure u dont have a backup do u?

plug it into the wall charger and let it sit for a while

then in an hour or so try to restart a few times by pulling the battery.

also note the first load of a new OS takes a while

no that isnt normal...i have personally never having a problem with the 2.2 updates myself..but im not that experienced in this stuff either...u prob dont know how to flash ur phone with rsdlite do u?
