Hello,
I just got my very first smartphone, the Droid. I've downloaded the Handset SMS from the market and everytime i receive a text, i get duplicate text on both applications of the regular messaging app and the Handset SMS app. How do i disable the regualr messaging app. so i don't receive duplicate text messages?? Thanks

You can stop the double notifications by going to the settings in the stock messaging app, hit menu>settings>notifications and uncheck it. You will still get messages that shows up in each app,as that is what its suppose to do, but you will no longer get duplicate notifications.

Turn off the auto retrieve function in the stock messaging app so you wont get duplicate messages.
