    Can I decide what I want to be notified for?

    Is there a way to stop my phone from notifying me that I have an email, but still notify me if I have a text message?

    Notifications

    I don't know the answer and I won't get my Droid X until July 15, but I have used an app for my blackberry, called Blackberry Alerts which is very, very good. You can set it up to notify you by different colored LED alerts, variable at your choosing and/or audio alerts. I am sure someone smart will develop/or there exists, a similar app for the Droid X. Post if you find out.
