Problem with froyo roms-

I installed froyo yesterday and today I tried to install a different rom from Rom Manager and I made sure the rom I chose was for froyo and after it downloads and the phone restarts it boots back up with the same rom. I tried a couple of others and its doing the same thing. And yes I'm clearing the cache and data. Any ideas? I'll try and reinstall froyo and see what happens.
