Bluetooth Issues

If there's a thread on this already, let me know. I've searched pretty hard for this.

I have a Motorola 850 car kit for my 2001 Mercury Sable. If my Droid is paired and I turn on the bluetooth, it connects, but cuts out intermittently and comes back on, with the annoying "bloop" sound that accompanies it. If I unpair and reconnect, it works fine, but every time I turn off the car and restart I have to go through the whole process again.

Also, if already paired, it calls the last number in my call log when it connects.

Any clues? 'Cause Motorola's customer service for this kind of sucks.
