    Google Maps not Installing

    After I updated to the Froyo ROM that was just released, I tried to set google Maps to automatic updating. When I did that it said I needed to do one manual update so I did. The update failed. No error message, it just said "The installation was unsuccessful". So I uninstalled it but now I cannot reinstall google Maps. It just says "Unknown Error -8". I tried uninstalling it through Root Manager App too to make sure there were no traces of Google Maps. Any suggestions?

    I'm having the same problem, Google Maps won't update. I hadn't gotten so far as to delete it as root yet, so it's good to know that doesn't work to solve the problem either.

    The maps included in the Froyo is the latest version. It works fine. KISS, guys.

    That's fine, I was really just trying to get rid of the "Update Available" notification for it.
