Ya im having issues with the phone getting really warm if i am talking on the phone during a call. i mean it heats up to really dam hot with in 30secs and the display is off, is this common?

If your not rooted,you should definitely not be experiencing this problem.. what happens when you play a game like Robo Defense?

I'm no expert, but I would return to your verizon store and show this to a verizon rep. Your phone seems defective.

Don't ignore the possibility of a faulty battery. OEM replacement batteries for the Droid are available on Amazon.com for $10-$15. Before blaming the phone it's worthwhile to see if your problem lies in a bad battery.
