Power Button & Saving Logins

Just a couple of quick questions.

1: When I turn my phone sideways to use it more often then not I keep hitting the power button putting my droid on standby. Anyone know of a good workaround so I don't do this all the time?

2: Is there a way to save all my logins and passwords to the phone for my apps and websites visited so I don't have to type them out each time? The only real way I can think of so far is to add words to the dictionary then start typing them into the app/website. Is there a quicker or easier way to do this?
