    Text message issue

    I recently installed Handcent which I prefer to use over the standard messaging app that came installed on the moto droid. The issue that I have is that when I get a text message, I receive 2 of them. One on Handcent and the other and the standard messaging app. Is there a way to eliminate the double messages? I tried to uninstall the standard messaging app but it wasnt listed as an app I could uninstall. Any help is appreciated.

    Go to settings on the stock app and turn notifications off.
