issue with search bar not auto rotating

I'm typing this message from my phone. I've gotta say that I'm really impressed with this phone, and that I absolutely love it. I know new technology is bound to have its issues, and I really hope mine has a simple fix. I know the droid's homepage supposedly isn't supposed to auto rotate, and I'm sure that's already out there as a suggestion to make it so it does (+1 that); but my issue is a little different. Now my google search bar widget isn't auto rotating, and my you tube search isn't either.
Droids keyboard could use improvement. When vertical it should be a number pad with t9 capability; the horizontal keyboard is fine, it could be a little quicker though. I'm actually lagging it out typing this.
