    speaker going out

    Does anyone know why the speaker that goes to ur head may go out? This is my 2nd Droid and still doing it and have to put it on speaker to talk.

    Is it completely dead or just doesn't work sometimes?

    There is a known issue with 2.0.1 where after using headphones to listen to music sometimes the phone doesn't return the audio feed to the internal speaker. Plugging the headphones back in and unplugging again will sometimes fix it. Other times it requires a reboot.

    The 2.1 update is supposed to correct this. I haven't used my headphones since updating and for me it was a very intermittent problem so I can't confirm that yet but it was vaguely listed in the update release notes.
