Top button no longer puts Droid to sleep.

I'm running the latest Ultimate Droid (8.1.1). It worked for a while and then just stopped. It still wakes the phone but it won't put it to sleep. It's a real PITA when you are using Screebl and you carry it in your front pocket (Zero battery life!). I have to actually let the phone time out before I put it in my pocket. Is this a ROM issue or a button issue? Inquiring minds want to know!
