droid deleted apps on sd card

hey guys, i put all my aps on my sd card so it wouldnt take up room on my phone. i plugged in my phone to my computer to view and import some photos , then i unplugged my phone and plugged it back in within 10sec. and a message poped up on my phone saying something like: could not read sd card because it is not mounted. don't remember exactly what it said. all the stuff on the card is now gone except for videos and pictures. but alll my apps and data are gone. i tried going in to backup assistant to recover but there are no options to recover anything. all there is, is a button that says "sync now". can anyone help me? my phone is running fine but i would like to have all the apps back.
