Droid Incredible Charger Port Issue = Any Droid Types that DON'T?

My Droid Incredible has the charger-port issue. I NEED a Smartphone for my work and had no time to change phones when it first occurred so I bought extra batteries and chargers. That works fine but I'm tired of changing batteries all the time and have had it with this phone AND disgusted that the manufacturers KNOW of the issue and still I would have to pay $100 to get it fixed. I am afraid to buy another Droid thanks to this issue.

My questions are:

1) Is there another Droid type that does NOT have the charger-port issue?

2) If so, does that Droid use the same kind of batteries the Droid Incredible does?

If you look up that battery online it might give you a list of other compatible phones. I went from a dinc to a dinc2 and the batteries were not the same.
