    how do i turn off active GPS

    I have a notification in the notification bar that means my GPS is active. It has been on for 2 days. I can't figure out how to turn it off. Do i need to? I assume it drains the battery. Thanks

    Go to your widgets and use the power control widget. You can turn it off/on from there. Or do a reboot if it seems to be staying on.

    Or if you don't want to use a widget just go to settings > location & security and uncheck the use gps satellites.
    Resistance is futile.
