Mail and twitter don't auto refresh

Hi there, i am experiencing certain problems with my mail and twitter updates. I have set my settings dor auto updates and notifications, but nothing ever comes out on my notification bar. This is especially so on my gmail, even after refreshing, no new mails can be read sometimes. Please advice! Thanks!

I am experiencing the same issue. I have a Gmail account set up on my Bionic. I have it set to pull the messages. Hours will go by without my email updating. I will go in and hit the refresh button and the thing will just spin forever. My email will never update until i reboot the phone. Has anybody found a solution to this? Maybe a different E-mail app?

First from the home screen: menu/settings/accounts and then tap on the gmail account and make sure that gmail is checked. If it is checked then go to applications/all/gmail/clear data. It will take the gmail app a minute or so get resynced and running again. It should then receive emails routinely.

Thanks! I will give the clear data a shot and see if that helps.
