    Lightbulb Battery

If you want to see what is draining your battery on the Droid.

Go to Settings - About Phone - Battery use

it has a fantastic graphical display that shows you what is using your battery.

    Hope this help.

I know you mentioned you have GPS, and WiFi turned off but what about sync?

With a bad signal I bet sync would drain your battery in a hurry.

That sounds like a likely culprit. My unit only burned about 30% of its power overnight with "Phone idle" and "Call Standby" taking the lions share of the power used in that time. Tonight, I'll try turning off both "Background data" and "Auto-sync" under the accounts and sync settings and see what difference that makes.

    Thanks!

I've been checking that. Here's the output from last night from battery use:

Battery charge was 70% at the end of the night - a nice improvement over 15% the previous night!

Phone idle 36% time on 8h15m39s
    Call Standby 26% time on 7h 45m13s
    Display 22% time on 18m15s
Android System 9% CPU total 5m16s, CPU foreground 4s
    Maps 2% CPU total 1m8s
    Dialer 2% CPU total 48s
Messages 2% CPU total 38s, CPU foreground 4s

The display usage was before I went to sleep. I had a message from Verizon (thanking me for joining them) and I had tried to send a message before going to sleep which accounts for the last item. I tried dialing once as well. Not sure why Maps used some power, I thought I'd turned that off.
