Droid needs replacement..

I have the droid 1 and it is really acting up, some of the keys aren't working on the keyboard now and now the screen keeps randomly turning on and off making the phone very hot and unusable. I'm suspecting it must be some type of moisture getting in the phone. All the indicators are fine though.

Basically heres my question....I have the 2 year warranty and insurance through Verizon, I remember reading on here back a little while ago that Verizon changed their policy of giving CLNR phones for free to charging some ridiculous fees.....is this true? Please tell me its not. Because I am planning on getting the Droid Bionic in a few weeks so paying a ridiculous fee for a phone I'm only going to use for a month or so would be very upsetting.
