Power/ unlock button problem

My power button/unlock is difficult to use I have to push it hard to make it work....I have took it apart and cleaned the button spot but no luck....is there a part I could get to fix it?

I'm having similar, but much more serious problems - my power button became permanently depressed after a roller coaster ride a few months back, and has since become completely useless - it's just a hunk of plastic. Now, in the last few days, it's gotten REALLY weird:

1) I have to plug the phone in to get it to turn on, no big deal

2) The Motorola logo shines bright and clear.

3) If I'm booting into the loader, everything is fine; I can flash new roms, I can wipe my Dalvik cache, and (importantly) I can mount my SD card on my computer. This is a big deal because right when the screen started wigging out, the phone stopped all USB communication with my computers. It also doesn't really draw much of a charge through USB anymore - it has to be a USB cable plugged into a wall outlet or cigarette lighter. Don't know how that's related, but it sucks.

4) If I'm NOT booting into the loader, the "M" goes away and the bootanim of whatever I'm running that day pops up (yesterday, LGB 2.1, today is SS 5.4). This is all well and good. It demonstrates very clearly that my phone's CPU, HD, and screen are all still in communication with each other.

HOWEVER...

5) Once the bootanim is over, the screen just dies. Not turns off, because in a dark room, you can still see that it's pumping ambient light out (whatever color a Droid shows when you tell it to fill a screen with black). I have access to all my haptic feedback controls, can hear all my alert sounds, and sometimes, if I get lucky, I can still answer the occasional call. But seriously, what the hell would do this? The screen obviously still works; I have to launch to the bootloader almost every time now, and it's crystal clear. Also, yesterday, for some insane reason, it got into a great mood after I installed SS 5.4 (yes, maybe it's because Chevy is awesome, but the screen was still dead by dinnertime). Now I'm just screwed.

Help? Thoughts? PLEASE? No idea too stupid. My moron dad stuck my brother and I on a Verizon family plan about a month ago and used MY NEW EVERY 2 that I had been saving for a Bionic or GS2 or something and bought my brother a goddamn iPhone 4, so I just want to die and crawl somewhere dark right now.

I wish my Droid still worked, at least then I'd have Netflix.
