problems with email.

Hi! when I reply to emails it sends some random email from my inbox.. the subject will be what I had , but the actual email is different. My business associates and friends and family are so confused and I have done a complete system reset and it doesnt fix the problem. also, I am no longer getting notified of incoming emails. anyone else have these issues and if so, How on earth can they be fixed?
