Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong area or if theres a similiar thread out there already, I'm new to the forums. My issue is that i recently tried to apply a new kernel to my droid, which seemed to be a success until i tried booting up my phone. It only makes it to the "M" logo and wont proceed to even the droid eye.
I think the kernel i installed may have been defective or something. I can't figure out how to fix this... i tried booting to recovery, from there i cleared the cache, restored to factory, and toyed around with all those settings to see if it would do anything. It didn't.
Also, I was careful to backup my previous kernel before I attempted applying the new one, but my droid wont even recognize that there are files there. When i select "restore" under the nandroid tab in recovery, i get an error saying "no files found" or something like that. Jeez anyone have any suggestions? lol....
