3G and network freeze

My mom tried to call me earlier but it went straight to my voicemail. When she told me later I checked to see what was wrong. I couldn't connect to anything involving 3G and I couldn't make or receive calls (and my phone didn't show any missed calls), but the weird thing is that I had the 3G symbol up and full bars. Restarting my phone fixed the problem, but I'm worried it might happen again. Anyone have a clue as to what might have happened?

All I can tell you is that it may have been one of those "glitches" that happens without a reason. Have you tried to do a reboot or battery pull lately?? The Droids OS likes to be rebooted occasionally. By doing so some of the little quirks tend to get fixed.
