    Droid 2 and Ford Sync

My Droid 2 Global was working fine with my new Explorer with Sync for a month. All of the sudden, the Sync in the car cannot connect to the phone. It is paired fine, but just won't connect. Before, as soon as I got in the car with the phone it would connect in just a second or two. I tried redoing the pairing, taking battery out and in, etc. Getting frustrated! Anybody experience this and have any suggestions? Thank you!

Having the same issues with my Edge. Droid 2 was working fine, now Sync stopped receiving texts and I can't even get calls.

I received a tip from someone on the Ford Explorer Facebook page. He suggested doing a 'clean pairing', which meant that I had to reset the Sync back to factory specifications. In the Sync menus it is called Master Reset. I did that, and then the phone paired and connected perfectly again.

Tried that several times. Deleted sync from my phone, pulled droid battery, deleted phone on sync and master reset. I tried normal pairing and reverse pairing. I can make calls out, which is very staticy, but cannot receive. An obvious connection issue that I can't figure out.

Check to make sure your sync software in car is up to date. Need a usb drive to do so. Look in your owners manual for directions on how to do. Probably isn't your phone...

Have you switch roms or a factory reset on your phone?? If so, you need to delete phone from sync and repair the phone...

And you know how electronics are, it could be up to date tonight, but out of date when you wake up in the morning...lol
