    Damaged sd card

I have a question, in my status bar my phone says I have a damaged sd card and need to reformat it, if I do that will I lose my nandroid backups? Or are those stored on my phones internal memory?

They are stored on your sdcard in your nandroid folder if using SPR, they are in your clockworkmod>backup folder if using CW, Copy them (and anything else you want to save) to your PC then format the card then copy them back.
