Unhappy Could it be a virus?

I just got my droid 2 about three weeks ago. I was on a media website (mediatakeout) when I noticed a video I wanted to watch. I clicked it and it downloaded it! Now im worried I have a virus or spyware. My phone has been acting perfectly normal, im just paranoid.

I think I've had that happen a few times. I don't think its anything to lose sleep over.

I guarantee it's not a virus. You don't have to worry about that. You will hear about a Mac getting a virus long before you hear of your Android phone getting one.

it really doesnt. The only way is to actually install it yourself. Android is pretty secure.

Android is Linux. Linux viruses are exceptionally rare. You'd have to have root-access for it to do anything dangerous anyway.

Malware is also exceptionally rare, and you'd have to manually install it anyway. Never install apps sent to you over SMS/MMS (aka text) or from a non-trusted source. Also, always read all permissions before installing an app.
