Never buy a phone going by the specs on paper. Actually go test drive it at a store vs other phones and see what YOU like the best instead of being a slave to advertising. Everything I heard about lg is meh as far as build and quality. Upon testing for myself I personally found the interface to kind of suck. If you are in the market for a slab phone with no keyboard I would look at the razr maxx, nexus or rezound but if you like the spectrum better then its on you.

I didn't think the Spectrum felt in cheaper than the Gnex and though the stock launcher wasn't that great, most of here use custom launchers anyway so that resolves that issue. I found one on craigslist that I may get for my backup phone and another toy to play around with since it can be rooted now.

I think the Spectrum is the best phone on Verizon, at least for me. It will be what I upgrade to in a month when I'm eligible unless something better comes on the horizon. Those who own the Spectrum don't bash it. Of course few do own it, but hey you're a sort of rebel and a free thinker, right? That's good, because with little dev support, although it has been rooted, most issues (and all phones have an issue or two), you'll be on your own to figure out.
Good luck and God speed.

The spectrum was laggy and buggy as hell when I messes with it in the store, or at least that's what I thought.
