Nexus One gets a software update, enables multitouch -- Engadget

Google's just outed a very, very significant update to the Nexus One that includes Google Goggles on board and a re-upped version of Google Maps that includes suggestions and a dedicated night mode. Much more significantly, though, they've capitulated and enabled multitouch in Browser, Gallery, and Maps -- great news and a big win for the Android community at large. Finally, there are some 3G improvements in there, so what are you waiting for? Go grab it.

i too feel like we are being forgotten about. Now it seems to be all about the N1. Thats pretty crappy.

Looks like Google was paying attention to S. Jobs this last week. He took the gloves off and delivered a couple low blows to Google and Adobe. So the next logical thing is to say a big "F" you to Apple and your "gentlemen's" agreement not to use multitouch in the US devices! Personally I would like to say WELL played Google keep up the good fight! Now could you please give Moto and VZW a call so we can get this pushed, better yet just push the multitouch update to ALL Android phones that are capable........you know you can!
