Rebooting the Android Bionic

Just how often should I have to reboot my Motorola Bionic.? I am new to the smartphones and Verizon says that periodically I should remove the battery to reboot the phone. This sounds ridiculous that I should have to remove the battery to do this.. Seems like it needs it at least once a week. Is something wrong with my phone or is Verizon making excuses?

There is no clear cut guideline... generally when your phone starts moving a little slow, it is a good time to power down out or do a battery pull... it refreshes your system processes...
