How do I disable the stock player on my car bluetooth?

I just got the 2012 Honda Civic and I have PowerAmp as my music player on my LG Esteem instead of the Music player that the Android came with. I want PowerAmp to play instead of the stock player when I enable bluetooth to play my music. When I put it on, it plays from both applications. Is there a way to disable the one that my phone came with and use the one I downloaded?

I also want to disable the stock music player....It wont even let me change the album names or artists.....but its the only player that I can use all functions with Bluetooth......any ideas

I've been having the same problem, and it's really been bugging me. When I turn on my Bluetooth headset, the android stock music app starts playing an mp3 stored on my phone. Really annoying. After spending some time searching for solutions, and trying several app killers, I came across a recommendation for "Headset Blocker" by Roadkill. I found it in the market place and sure enough, it works. Stoked. Now when I turn on my headset the stock music app doesn't start automatically. This might cause a problem for those of you that want to control your phone from your Bluetooth device...but it works perfectly for me.
