You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Mark Rippetoe
I personally still like the droid.
The sony one looks ok
Oh, I have no plans of leaving my Droid but it's nice to see what's on the board. And that Android should get a good amount of media coverage (and thus market share) this year
But I do like the concept behind the Lenovo phone (detachable base/keyboard).

Hmm.. I think I've come to realize what kind of phone I like. It has to have an awesome screen, the physical keyboard is not a key element (but if its "hidden" real well, I'll take it) because of swype, and the speaker has to be really good.
And the deal breaker is it HAS to run Android. The Droid fits all of that, but if another phone comes along that has those key factors, I'd be willing to give it a shot.
I'm still amazed how well the Droid handles. The screen is just awesome, the speaker is just top-notch (as far as volume goes). The OS specific stuff like Navigation, music, apps will be there regardless of the actual phone, so that stuff is very "portable" to a new Android phone.
I just can't see myself buying anything BUT an Android based touchscreen phone.
