    Newer version...

    I have an original rooted droid that's running version 2.2.2 . Is there a newer system that's available for my phone? It just seems like it's been a very long time since I've had an update. I'm wondering if because my phone is rooted, I'm not getting system updates?

    Nope, that's the last update Moto/VZW pushed to the D1. Its dead to them as far as they are concerned.

    You can install a custom ROM with Gingerbread 2.3.5 though.

    Although like others you may find that GB is quite buggy on the D1.

    Your lucky I'm stuck with this x10a over at&t still on 2.1 and selfish ol at&t wont allow us to update to gingerbread. Sooo selfish they are it irritates me
