To think I almost gave up on the idea of buying this. We will have to see if it has the 4g radio and the Samsung gpu instead of the tegra 2. Otherwise I'm getting the bionic.

I do have to agree it's a little strange they would try to sell it 3 months from releasing thier own Prime. It's also going up against Sprint's Proton that month. I guess they wanted t give people 2 choices of super-phone.

Awesome, just what we need... more phones to speculate about. At this point in time, the next 4G phone to actually come out on Verizon is what I'm getting... they all have their positives and negatives, and in the end they are pretty much the same.

I am wanting the sgs2 but I have a feeling that we will nt see it until 4 qtr on vzw and it will be a 3g only phone dubbed the fascinate 2. If that happens I will pass and wait to see what next year brings. By then oems will have a year of dual core and lte under their belts so they can make better devices.

4G or not, I would take this over the Bionic.

Id rather a great screen and thin design than faster download speeds.
And even though the Bionic is using a OMAP4 processor which beats the Exynos in the GS2, the Galaxy S2 has it at 1.2GHZ.

Got this Message from 1 of my sources and this is what was said to me:
Function is a shareholder name much like Stealth was for charge. Processor will be Tegra 2 i imagine just like the GTab 10.1. People can stop hoping its an LTE phone because its going to be CDMA based. We are also getting a Samsung spider phone which does appear to have LTE connectivity. Also as a side note after September customers lose their New Every Two discount if they haven't yet used it.

Yeah I think the official name will be Samsung Fascinate 2 and to go tegra 2 and cdma..... if its true I will pass. Especially if it releases late in october / november time frame.
