About LinkBacksToday verizon reps told me that I need watch my data because if I go over 5 gigs they'll suspend my service and they accused me of illegal tethering because they haven't seen someone use so much data! So your unlimited is NOT unlimited! And for a rommer like me I use alot of data to download roms and such. so be careful you guys!

07-08-2011 12:24 PMMost I have ever used was 9 gigs with a ton of Netflix streaming. I haven't had Verizon scare me off yet.
How did the conversation start? Did you call Verizon about something else and they mentioned it to you, or did you get a text/call from them?

07-08-2011 01:53 PMI got a letter in the mail after I went over 2 months in a row. They said anything over 5 g is considered high usage and they were going to reduce my speed. They say its bc people are hogging the network. Im one a family plan with 5 lines and all would be reduced.

07-09-2011 10:06 AMI think this policy is part of the new shift to the tiered system. I read on the Verizon site yesterday that there is a 5 Gig cap, and that is certainly on par with the practises of other providers with tiered data. =/

07-09-2011 10:53 AMWell I was at verizon getting my account holder transfered and the chick was like HOLY CRAP! You use way to much data! If you go over 5 gigs verizon can suspend your data! And im like look woman this is just like your broadband scheme a few years back. Its "unlimited" but really its 5 gigs. And so yeah its very annoying because I like to stream netflix too
