Another reason I'm glad I went with moto droid
Bottom line with this whole fiasco is Google put the carriage before the horse. They're GREAT with software, and I think they put too much emphasis on this with the Nexus and all the Google features.... not realizing that they needed the back end of the business to support a consumer market.
Sure its a new phone and it has a couple of bumps to iron out, that is to be expected but what they seemed to overlook completely was customer support. Email support come on what were they thinking?
So will it affect our bottom line, it sure will.
well, i know that if your going to release a first generation product, your going to need CSS. Something ALWAYS goes wrong on ALL first generation products simply cause not everyone can think of everything. But CSS is common sense on such a complex phone.
As huge as Google is, that should not have slipped, to me, there is no excuse on relying on emails for CSS for a phone you use daily and think about business users. Geez. Thas ridiculous. So..meanwhile..what are the customers going to do while their phones are down? Smoke signals? Have a conference call using smoke?
another thing to point out is the SDK that was mentioned farther into the article.
How many developers are gettin frustrated working on applications and are not receiving the proper tools to get more progress on the new platform.
And that being said, we have that going to be an issue with ALL Android phones, later. So all things are affected until the BIG G does something quick.
eh well im no expert and i could be completely wrong but the sdk for 2.1 just came out didnt it and there are many other android phones that work so i dont really see a problem at all since the only people who are pissed off now are the t-mobile customers who cant get 3g.....but they got t-mobile in the first place
oh and im kinda high so forgive me for the random info all over the place but the N1 isnt even a problem either (maybe an antenna or something) so why wouldnt people still dev for it cause its coming out for verizon anyway
basically wtf t-mobile
oh and i get the whole customer support jazz but i dont think that is enough to completely derail an os that seems to work pretty good on other phones(yea droid)
edit: lol **** it nvm
