Today the G2X & Sidekick 4G came out today .
The G2X has been rooted but the Sidekick 4G hasen't been .
How long do you guy's think ?

So the SideKick uses Android now? I used to have the original SideKick, and back then it just used T-Mobiles software. I had no idea that the new one had already come out and that it was using Android. That's pretty cool. I remember when I first got my OG Sidekick. Everyone was so jealous and I had to protect it with my life cause people were eying it like they were ready to steal it at any moment lol. It really helped establish what early smartphones were all about. And it was expensive lol so how is the new one, is it running Froyo? Does it have the same UI tweaks to the android OS as Samsungs other Android phones? Or is it completely different. Is it able have custom roms flashed just like standard android phones? Im completely intrigued by this lol almost makes me wish I still had T-Mobile....almost, but not quite lol

The sidekick 4g is based off the galaxy S. It is the Sidekick by name and branding only

Its more than name/brand. The software is touchwiz yes, but it its mixed with homages to the old sidekick OS. Its actually really nice and its not like the touchwiz I had on my old fascinate at all.

The sidekick originalyran danger software and the guy who wrote that left danger after microsoft bought them out and went to android. The sk4g seems like a decent phone but its on tmo and for 4g id much rather have a verizon phone being as its real 4g.
