    Kyocera Zio texting problems

    I got a firmware update this morning for my Sanyo Kyocera Zio and after the update my text messages won't show up. I tap my messaging icon and it just goes to a blank screen and then says the messaging app isn't responding and must be force closed. I've turned my phone off and back on and that didn't help. It also deleted all of my contacts. How do I fix this? This phone has been pretty much nothing but problems since I got it and I'm about ready to smash the piece of ****.
