Smart phone for my hubby
My husband has decided he needs his 1st smartphone (he has a flip phone now) and I'm not sure what to suggest for him. He would mainly using it for getting his work emails & getting on his work's portal. I think he would do better with a larger screen & no slide out keyboard. Any suggestions would help. We have Verizon as our carrier.

Droid x rooted, Overclocked, and with touchdown server capabilities. It's an app in the market that brings business sense to android. Kinda expensive app @ around 20 bucks but I haven't heard one bad thing about it. That would suffice very well today(if you have a good Droid X, they've had some QC issues with reboots, bugginess, and of coarse the unavoidable, dreaded, locked bootloader.) If you can wait just a little bit I would also see how the new offerings from LG, Samsung, and especially the HTC thunderbolt pan out. IMHO.

If you need it right now I would agree with the Droid x. Due to screen size and customer sat. If you can wait, maybe the Droid x2. If a 4" screen is fine (vs 4.3) I would say wait for the Motorola bionic. Dual core, and should be out sooner then the Droid x2.
