Wow.
Maybe I'm being obtuse. I really didn't think his post was that hard to understand.
This may help if your still having trouble
Long Live the iPhone Killer
Call me obtuse, call me anything you want but it is very frustrating when something "easy" doesn't work. I saved the picture, to my desktop, used windows photo gallery to enlarge it on my screen and can't get it to focus.
Guys, FYI, this was supposed to be a fun thread with "Happy Holidays" overtones..
:-(
I was able to scan it at normal resolution. It just took a few focus cycles to get it.
Thank you for posting this.
Thanks also to Batfan for trying to help. Sorry if my reply changed the tone of this.
I am more concerned about trying to get the Barcode Scanner app to work than what the barcode actually says or leads to.
I tried again. I copied it to my desktop. I used windows Photo gallery to resize it at different image sizes. At one point I thought it was getting close as the dot was bouncing to three corners but alas for me no scan.
Do the camera settings have anything to do with the Barcode Scanner App?
Maybe I am just too shaky?
Happy Holidays to all!
Don't use this example to try and see how well your scanner works(or not), it is not a great photo and may or may not work. A lot also depends on your PC screen etc...sooooo... in other works don't spend your Holiday trying to make this one work :-)
BTW, there was an update for BarCode Scanners a few days ago that optimizes the scanner a little, make sure you have the latest version.
Open the Market then Menu> Downloads and see if there is an update showing. You can also do this for all apps to check for updates in case you don't receive an update notice for whatever reason.
Happy Holidays to you too!!
