Indeed. I like to use ringdroid which is available in the marketplace and can be used to trim music files and add them to your ringtones or notifications. Welcome to the forums btw.

Okay, got my custom notification setup... slight problem though.. Now when my phone goes off or comes one it makes the private call noise... (you know... beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep.) Anything I can do about that?

Yes the reason is because it only makes the droid sound on startup if that is the set notification sound. Since you've changed it it defaults to that tone. God only knows why. You can go

Homescreen>menu button>settings>sound and uncheck sd card notifications and it should make no noise whatsoever.

Screebl is an app that prevents your screen from turning off if it is within a preset range of orientations. So for instance the screen will stay on if the phone is positioned in portrait mode between 30° and 60° but It will turn off if it is around 0° or 90° I.e. in a pocket straight up and down or laying flat on a table.

Hey I keep having to turn my phone off and on due to my 3g acting up (it goes from both arrows lit, to the up arrow, then the down arrow, then they both go out and I find myself stuck clicking the same link over and over with delayed/no response....
