[QUOTE=astaccz;886949]every droid is different my man. for me every built from source has some kind of problem on my phone. the only rom that was built from source worked and had perfect battery life was ultimate droid from black droid mod. slayher 900 kernel worked fine for me n it was smooth as butter.

Astaccz, I agree with you there...Cyanogen doesn't like my Droid. The battery would drain like a festering wound. lol!!
I think most of it is based on how you flash them. I used to flash with Rom manager but now I do it in Clockwork. I think it's better that way.
LFY just seems to work best with my phone. As far a BB goes it's great, my first Rom I flashed was BB 0.3, but I think alot of people are stuck on it because of the name implying it's "Bugless". People are naive. lol
I've never had a single issue with LFY and it's the first Rom I came across that didn't freeze or eat the battery. And believe me, EVERY Rom I see posted on here I try for the hell of it.
One more thing, the only other Rom that impressed me as much as LFY is the Smoked Glass Charity Rom 8.0 that can be found on MDW...I put that on my girlfriend's Droid and she loves it. Incredible battery life and it's fast and smooth.

I tried LFY 1.7 last night and I just didn't like the themes much. I tried the smoked theme and my % on the battery icon was doubled, like it said it twice. When I changed the color under the liquid menu it would change the front one to the color I picked and the second one behind it would still be white. I think that's called anti aliasing? Anyway I felt like a few other things were copied from other roms. Like the power control widget looked like it was themed with Black and Bold, while the Facebook widget and Google search widget had no theme at all. That's a deal breaker for me and yes I wiped 3 times before installing. After a few hours of playing around I Nandroided back to BBv.5 with smoked glass, hard to beat IMHO.

FRG83's main thing is it closes the Universal ANDRoot loophole.

guys, FRG83 is NEXUS, NOT DROID! only things that would have changed between them and us would have been gapps, which shadow has updated to the latest

Ah, but when it comes to build numbers remember, most geeks are guys. The bigger the number the more manly some of us feel.

Thanks. I needed a name and this one popped into my head one day. Extra points if you get the reference.

Builds are device specific, I have been curious as to why people associate a Nexus One build (FRG83) with the Motorola Droid? Source is named (Eclair, Froyo, etc..) and has a version number 2.0.1, 2.1, 2.1-update1, 2.2 and now 2.2.1. Why are people associating a build number with the OS version?

Current Source OS is Froyo 2.2.1
Current build for the Motorola Droid is FRG22D
Current build for the Nexus One is FRG83

I think my next ROM is just going to be build ZZZ99Z and let's see someone top that!
