Surely will, going slowly now though, senior year of college started up.
This has to be by far the fastest rom I've ever used. Thanks man![]()

i really like watermark'd and have held off loading this rom hoping it would show up here. i think i'm going to load this anyway and was checking out the 928 theme. i don't see Rubik's listed on the 928 page and don't know what to do to get it loaded to work with Rubik's. i would appreciate any help. watermark'd coming??
I was on FRF84B the leaked version, I was not real happy with that ROM, it was buggy & laggy. The touchscren was twitchy, unresponsive and went goofy often, there were times it just froze up. Seeing that the OTA’s were on the way I figured I’d wait till someone had something that included the new release and the updates and a few extras. I put this on about 2 days ago, so far my observations:
Did the wipe 3 times
Installation – no issues, quick, easy, most of my apps were reinstalled from the market, (a few apps didn’t re-install, haven’t figured them all out yet. I just realized FaceBook didn’t re-install, I am sure there are more, but overall I was very satisfied. I use a few custom apps for my business that are paid - that I had problems getting when I went to FRF84B, they ALL showed up.
First observations the ROM seemed quicker, more responsive, and smoother. (still a tad flaky, but a marked improvement) I did a Quadrant check of the old ROM before installation for comparison, to my shock the FRF84B after weeks of heavy use and no cleanup whatsoever came in at 1127 (this was O/C’d at 800mhz), I couldn’t believe the score- That thing ran like a piece of crap. The Rubrik build, just after install came in lower than that -1049 (that was toped out at 800mhz) I wanted to see some better numbers, so I did my first kernel installation, I went with a Chevy 1gh low. WOW the Chevy kernel really brought this ROM to life, even at 800mhz I notice an immediate improvement. Quadrant scores coming in around 1115 set at 800mhz, so I bumped it up to 1000mhz, there was the sweet spot. Got 1342 and everything seems REALLY nice. It runs noticeably cooler averaging 27c to 34c broadcasting WiFi. Battery life seems to be right where it was when it was stock.
WiFi – on the FRF84B worked – but User Access Control did not, would not get WiFi with that enabled, that seemed like a universal issue with some builds/models. WiFi on this ROM/Chevy kernel seems super, user authentication works! I should have benchmarked my speeds before making comments. Before WiFi was good - not great, averaging from .2mbps to .8 mbps and sometimes a little higher/lower. So far I am seeing .4 to 1.0 mbps – I know these results are subjective, but hey so far I’m REAL happy with WiFi on this ROM/kernel.
After the phone finished restoring apps, I went on the market to look for Flash, all I found was the Flash showcase, no player. So I set about looking for other apps, then for some reason decided to look for Flash again some time later, same search parameters, and bingo there it was, Flash installed from the market.
Few days later…I tried Jake's kernels, the 1.2, and that gave my phone issues, it was twitchy, and the phone rebooted once after install. So I tried a Chevy 1.2 and it was twitchy too. I went back to the original Chevy low 1.0mhz
– Also WiFi on Jake's kernels went back to not being able to use User Access Control Authentication – does not work connected to WiFi – As I stated before User Access Control WORKS on Chevy kernels.
Also I have been able to fix my issue of Google Translator forceclosing. – I kept trying different apps from the market, until I happened onto Talk to Me Classic. – after installation it said it required the following programs – TTS extended(already installed) - Speech Synthesis Data Installer, and SVOX Classic. – I installed the remaining 2 apps, and Google Translator works once again…
Anyway, sorry if this is a long post, but I felt I had a lot to say about this build, I am extremely happy with it. My Droid has never ran better or been more useful, I wanted to say thanks…I am broke beyond despair at the moment…but the first paycheck I get, I will pony up some dough for this ROM, I never felt before experimenting with ROM’s was really worth much…but this one was, for me anyway.
Things I could use some help with -
– a volume hack, I cant listen to music anywhere that has loud background noise, just cant hear it. There is 1 hack I found but it does not work on Froyo builds, if anyone knows of something else – I would be grateful.
-wired tether app, there are times I need a wired solution. I have the app from the Google developers website, but that is really slow. If anyone knows of a better one, hit me up.
