Awesome! I guess I better go give it a whirl...
This is good, thank you very much...
The only problem I had with it is all my old SU settings had to be redone since we're on the newer version of SuperUser. Pretty trivial problem. Market works, Google apps work, very smooth.
I'm using this with a Chevy kernel du juor, works fine, wireless tether (and wired tether) works very nicely, SetCPU is going fine, CPU temps showing up as expected.
It's going to be asked, so I may as well. Is there any chance of getting an Odexed version?
Btw, you're already may points ahead of the dev who provided the older leaked rooted deodexed FRG22D -- you're here answering questions and there's no question about where you got the pieces. That goes a long way. I haven't run your version long enough to get a feeling for differences in speed, reliability, etc., but I suspect it's going to be excellent since it's mostly stock and it has a pedigree.
Thanks again, very good work!
[QUOTE=metiCkOne;782482This is rooted and contains the latest superuser app. You won't lose root if you flash this. As far as I know easyroot and universal androot will not root FRG22D.[/QUOTE]
Another quick question, then: I'm rooted (via Easyroot, fwiw), running FRG01B that's linked via Clockworkmod's gallery of stock images as well as the version of Flash 10.1 that's been circulating around here for a while now. Everything is hunky dory -- everything that's supposed to sync is syncing, and my Market shows me everything I'd expect to see (except for Adobe's Flash, of course).
Is there any reason why I'd want to flash this FRG22D, when my phone is humming along smoothly and happily? In previous iterations, I've found myself in states where the Market wasn't working properly (apps I'd loaded couldn't be found, such as the New York Times app) and my contacts weren't properly syncing.
In other words, I'd say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But being a tech-nut, I'm always eager to upgrade to the latest iteration. What to do? What say you?
