    Stock 2.2 Roms

    I was wondering if anyone knew where I could possibly find a stock 2.2 rom. I am having a problem update from 2.1 to 2.2. I have tried a few hacked roms including insanely clean, where I will get the initial android loading screen and it will just sit there for over and half and hour. The offical updates have been even less helpful. In the case of the 2.2 update.zip, I get apply patch check error(status 7). In the OTA 2.2 update sprecovery will deny the update completely without even attempting it.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should go from here, Iv been stuck at 2.1 for awhile and its driving me nuts.

    Peter Alfonso Go here and download the FRG22 Deodexed update near the top. Do a complete wipe. (Both cache & data.) This will erase everything on your Droid and start from scratch. Then install as an update.zip and enjoy. It's already rooted too!

    Kernel: Stock Non-Overclocked Baseband: Stock Recovery: ClockworkMod 2.5.0.8     Quadrant Score: 1442

    If the suggestion above doesn't work, grab the FRG01B SBF file from the same page and flash it in with RSD Lite. It doesn't get much more bulletproof than that -- but it will completely put your phone to stock and wipe out everything but your SD card.
    Droid 1 - the "unbrickable" droid.
    FRG22D - stock, rooted, ChevyNo1 LV 1.1GHz kernel, SetCPU 2.0.2, Superuser 2.3.6.1

    Droid X, Droid 2, Droid 2 Global (Band Unlocked), Droid Pro Global (Band Unlocked)
